Methodology & Data Provenance

FlightSafetyLabs separates observed source data from representative and modelled information. It is a situational-awareness platform, not an operational flight-planning or dispatch product.

Layer classes

Live
Retrieved from the named source. A displayed update time indicates when FlightSafetyLabs last obtained the data, not necessarily its issuing time.

Representative
A manually maintained contextual footprint. It illustrates a known pattern but must not be read as exact, complete or current operational guidance.

Modelled
A calculation derived from declared assumptions. It is not an official operational product, NOTAM or authority instruction.

Data sources

The machine-readable registry is available at data-sources.json. Each future analytical output should cite source ID, retrieval time, filter set, transformation version and limitations.

Operational limitation

For any operational decision, consult the applicable operator procedures, official NOTAMs, meteorological products and responsible issuing authorities.
